Areas of Your Car You Might Forget To Clean
Cleaning your car is essential in maintaining it so that it lasts for years. However, it’s important to make sure there are no areas you’re overlooking.
Usually, when you think of cleaning your car, the interior and the outside body come to mind immediately. After all, those are what everyone sees. Plus, they’re of utmost importance for date nights or days out. Still, to keep a car running smoothly and looking its best, you need to consider areas of your car you might forget to clean. Let’s look at what a few of those might be.
The Vents
Vents are pros at collecting dust and eventually not smelling too great. They also aren’t easy to clean, which is why many car owners prefer to overlook them. One way to avoid skipping the vents is to grab an old (or new) paintbrush and spray the brush with cleaner, then rub the paintbrush along the vents to get them clean and smelling fresh.
The Tires and Wheels
Nothing sees more dirt than the tires and wheels of a car. They need cleaning but often go forgotten. Your wheels and tires need special care, so get the right supplies ready before you begin, such as cleaners designed specifically for wheels and tires, as well as the appropriate brushes.
No other area holds as much dirt and grime daily, so be sure to add wheels and tires to your cleaning list regularly.
The Undercarriage
It’s not surprising that the undercarriage is one of the most obvious areas of your car you might forget to clean. For starters, it’s out of sight, so it’s out of your mind. Also, it’s difficult to get to. Thankfully, the undercarriage isn’t as impossible to clean as it looks. A good jet spray from a garden hose or a pressure washer does the trick of loosening up dirt, oil, and grease.
The Engine
The last area that people often forget is the engine. Have you ever been to a car show and noticed all the impressively clean engines? It’s possible to get that shining result at home for your car as well. Plus, your vehicle will thank you when the engine is free of built-up debris that can cause issues.
When cleaning the engine, keep in mind that some parts can’t have too much moisture. You must safely cover areas like the alternator and fuse box while washing everything else. You’ll only need a soft brush and cleaner designed for engines to get yours looking new again.
Although we often clean our cars because it makes them look fantastic, the benefits of cleaning every area goes beyond the looks. A well-maintained and clean vehicle will give you miles of enjoyment and safe rides.
