Bahrain Raid Xtreme (BRX) is excited to announce a new partnership with Samsung as the team embarks on its first Dakar Rally – one of the most extreme motorsport events in the world.
Samsung Brand Memory is an Official Partner of both Bahrain Raid Xtreme and its Spanish Driver, two-time Dakar Rally winner, Nani Roma. Nine-time World Rally Champion, Sébastien Loeb, from France completes BRX’s driver line up.
The partnership will see Samsung provide the most innovative and iconic materials in their portfolio – internal and external SSD, MicroSD cards and USBs – to enhance the team’s performance.
Together, BRX and Samsung will ensure BRX are ready to compete in one of the sport’s biggest endurance tests, negotiating the gruelling conditions of the Saudi Arabian desert over a 7,646km (4,751-mile) race.
BRX Chief Marketing & Partnership Development Director, Chris Long, said: “Bahrain Raid Xtreme are very excited to welcome Samsung as an Official BRX Partner. Ongoing innovation and technology development are shared values of our brands and central to the partnership and BRX programme. BRX are thrilled to work alongside a brand with the same vision for the future and the ambition to drive innovation and constant development. We are excited to see what the partnership can achieve through the Dakar Rally 2021, and beyond.”
BRX is the product of a joint venture between Prodrive, and the Kingdom of Bahrain, to form Prodrive International. The new team will embark on its maiden Dakar Rally, beginning from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on January 3, 2021.
BRX Driver, Nani Roma, said: “I am very excited to welcome Samsung to the Bahrain Raid Xtreme team as we embark on our maiden rally together. As a brand, I have personally worked with before, Samsung, just as BRX, are constantly seeking innovation. BRX and Samsung share common values of speed and endurance, and I am excited to see what the Dakar Rally 2021 will bring for us.”
