GaragePlug Partners With Tecalliance to Drive Digital Transformation in the Middle East

GaragePlug, the automotive cloud platform that helps service businesses achieve operational efficiency and build an outstanding customer experience, has partnered with TecAlliance, the leading expert for data management and processes in the automotive aftermarket.

This partnership propels GaragePlug to become integral to the Middle East’s aftermarket ecosystem, seamlessly connecting auto service workshops, parts distributors, and vehicle owners. At Automechanika Dubai, 2-4 October 2023, TecAlliance will showcase its latest innovations and new partner programme at booth 5-A33 in hall 5.

By joining the TecAlliance Partner Programme, GaragePlug aligns itself with the globally recognised TecDoc platform. Since its founding almost 30 years ago, TecAlliance has been committed to improving data quality and establishing uniform industry standards in the automotive aftermarket. The TecDoc Catalogue database contains 9.8 million part numbers from over 1,000 supplier brands and over 450 million product/vehicle linkages.

As part of this partnership, GaragePlug has successfully received its training certificate as a TecDoc Data Integrator, enabling the company to offer TecDoc-based solutions in multiple countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, and Kuwait.

Digital Transformation Myths Affect the Middle East Aftermarket

GaragePlug has identified a significant challenge in the automotive aftermarket in the Middle East. According to Shubhra Srivastava, Co-Founder and CEO of GaragePlug, the industry acknowledges the importance of digital transformation. Still, many workshops adopt an incorrect definition, simply transferring manual operations to computers.

As a result, the industry is facing disjointed features and a lack of practical value from existing workshop software and digitalisation tools. This has led to increased expenses, decreased operational efficiency, and the inability to achieve ROI for auto service businesses.

Empowering Auto Service Technicians for True Digital Transformation

GaragePlug believes in achieving true digital transformation when technicians become software operators. Their mobile-first platform is designed for user-friendliness and real value. By leveraging technicians’ and service advisors’ smartphones, GaragePlug enables end-to-end digital transformation and justifies ROI for large enterprise service brands.

“We eagerly embraced the TecAlliance Partner Program due to its alignment with our vision,” said Shubhra Srivastava. “This partnership expands GaragePlug’s workshop management capabilities, granting unprecedented access to vital aftermarket data. By integrating TecDoc’s comprehensive data into our platform, we empower workshops to seamlessly recommend precise parts and services, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and optimising workshop efficiency.”

At Automechanika Dubai, the TecAlliance team will show at booth number 5-A33 in hall five how their data and solutions support all players in the automotive aftermarket. The 20th edition of the largest international trade exhibition for the broader Middle East’s automotive aftermarket and service industry will occur from 2 to 4 October 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
