Now a three-day sale, RM Sotheby’s is on track to hold a record-breaking auction in Monterey with world-class collections and impeccable motor cars set to cross the block 18-20 August.
The Oscar Davis Collection holds automobiles of great value, historical significance, and intrinsic appeal. Any of the lots could serve as the centrepiece of any collection, making it impossible to choose a single highlight.
From Davis’ 1938 Talbot-Lago T150-C SS Teardrop Coupe by Figoni et Falaschi to his 1953 Ferrari 375 MM Spider by Scaglietti, and from rare Bugattis to the Alfa Romeos, RM Sotheby’s is thrilled to offer collectors an opportunity to acquire some of the finest automobiles ever offered at auction.
The Masterworks of Design collection will go under the hammer on 18 August in Monterey. A group of 48 significant one-off and limited-production motor cars presenting exquisite design, impeccable engineering, and remarkable craftsmanship offered out of long-term private ownership.
As RM Sotheby’s prepares to head to Texas in September, those in Monterey will get a taste of what’s to come later this year. Offered from The Gene Ponder Collection, Monterey bidders will have the opportunity to be the next owner of a 1954 Arnolt-Bristol Bolide Works Roadster by Bertone, alongside two other cars from the collection.
