2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Arrives in the Middle East

Chevrolet announced today that the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has arrived at the region. The eighth-generation Corvette is the first-ever in the history of the iconic nameplate to sport a mid-engine configuration. It is also the fastest and most powerful entry Corvette yet. The 2020 Corvette Stingray MSRP* starts at USD 86,500 for the Z51 package and is now on sale in Chevrolet dealerships across the region.

Powered by a small-block 6.2L V-8 developing 495 hp, the base 2020 Corvette Stingray does the benchmark 0-100 km/h run in just over three seconds. Equipped with the Z51 Performance Package that number is slashed to under three seconds. Drawing from every iteration that came before it, the 2020 Stingray is re-imagined to deliver new levels of performance, technology, craftsmanship and luxury to customers in the Middle East and beyond.

Kelly MacDonald, Chief Marketing Officer, General Motors Middle East & Africa, said: “The 2020 Stingray is the culmination of decades of history and experience – it is the most advanced Corvette yet. The new layout delivers unprecedented performance and preciseness, whether on-road or track. We are confident that it will appeal to enthusiasts in the Middle East and exceed their expectations, especially at the price point. It’s our flagship model, and we are excited to present it to Corvette loyalists across the region.”

The new mid-engine configuration enables a near-perfect weight distribution and delivers dynamics that surpass every other Corvette before it. Available in 12 exterior colours — Torch Red, Arctic White, Black, Blade Silver Metallic, Shadow Gray, Ceramic Matrix Gray, Long Beach Red, Elkhart Lake Blue and Sebring Orange — plus three all-new colours: Rapid Blue, Zeus Bronze and Accelerate Yellow, the 2020 Corvette Stingray is designed to impress.

The luxurious interior is equally impressive with six colour themes: Jet Black, Sky Cool Gray, Adrenaline Red, Natural Dipped, Two-Tone Blue and Morello Red. Furthermore, there are six seat belt colours available – Black, Blue, Natural, Torch Red, Yellow and Orange. Additionally, it has two optional stitch packages – Yellow and Red along with the standard black interiors which have Sky Cool Gray stitching, for an added layer of customization.

The 2020 Corvette is engineered to be a true supercar for everyday use. The structure is built around its backbone: the centre tunnel. This enables a stiff, yet light structure that serves as the foundation for the suspension to perform in an optimized manner. Corvette customers in the region will now be able to experience the ultimate in ride performance with thrilling lateral grip. Apart from its stunning exterior design, the new Corvette has a solid, connected-to-the-road feel with minimal vibrations at high speeds or on long road trips.
