Apple Set To Land Huge F1 Movie Project Starring Brad Pitt

Apple Studios has confirmed that they are working on a new Formula One film from the director of Top Gun: Maverick Joseph Kosinski. Brad Pitt will star, and seven-time F1 champion Sir Lewis Hamilton will produce the film.

All on board? Very good. Kosinski, of course, has already lit the afterburners after the worldwide success of the excellent sequel to Top Gun (which featured some of the wildest action scenes ever seen in cinema). If he can handle aerial combat, a couple of Formula 1 cars at 200 km/h should be a piece of cake.

The story revolves around Brad Pitt’s character coming out of retirement to race alongside a rookie against “the titans of the sport”. It sounds familiar on the whole…

That’s all you know about the story. At this early stage, it’s mostly a movie namedrop: director (Kosinski), producers (Hamilton, Bruckheimer, Plan B Entertainment), screenwriter (Ehren Kruger) and of course, Apple Studios.
