The Driver and Rider Collection: Six Incredible Modern Supercars and Four Ultimate Superbikes To Be Offered in Munich

RM Sotheby’s has announced The Driver and Rider Collection, which will be offered at the Munich auction on 26 November. The Collection represents a finely curated selection of high-specification supercars and superbikes, all boasting stunning specifications and which deliver the ultimate driving and riding experience for thrill-seeking lovers of two and four-wheels. 

Headlining the Collection is the 2017 Ferrari F12tdf. Paying homage to the famed 250 Tour de France of the 1960s, the 780 PS F12 was the most potent front-engined production Ferrari ever built when launched and was second only to the LaFerrari in general terms. The TDF also boasted an 87% increase in downforce compared to the conventional F12, combined with a 110 kg reduction in weight compared to the standard car.

The example offered is presented in stunning Blu Scozia, in which only six cars were produced and recorded only 2,945 km. The vehicle has an incredible and extensive list of extras and bespoke features, all of which combine to make this one of the most highly specified examples in the world (Estimate: €1,000,000 – EUR 1,400,000).

Single-owner collections of supercars and bikes of this quality rarely come to auction, and we are delighted to be able to offer them in Munich.”

Another highly collectable Ferrari is the 2010 Ferrari 599 GTO, only the third model in the marque’s history to wear the GTO badge. Fittingly, only 599 examples were produced as the road-going version of the awesome 599XX racecar, and it boasted 661 horsepower from its 6.0 V-12.

This delicate and scarce Blu Scozia example is perfectly complemented with a Ferrari Classiche Certification, just 15,961 km on the clock, and estimated at €800,000 – EUR 1,000,000.

No supercar collection is complete without a Lamborghini, and what better than a 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ? With only 900 ever made, the “Super Veloce Jota” is one of the purest, pre-hybrid supercars ever created.

With spine-tingling performance figures such as a 3.8 second 0-100 km/h time, this Verde Triton example, one of only a handful made in colour, is undeniably striking (Estimate: €650,000 – EUR 850,000). The 2021 Ferrari 488 Pista Spider is a brilliant, track-focused mid-engined V-8 supercar.

Remarkably, the spider version was 90 kg lighter than the coupe, making it a remarkable machine for road or track (Estimate: €400,000 – EUR 600,000).

For many, Porsche is king in producing track-focused road cars. The 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 RS is regarded by many as one of the most accomplished iterations of Porsche’s iconic 911, and the Collection’s single-owner example has been finished in the purposeful triple-black colour scheme.

The model was only the third production Porsche to break the seven-minute barrier at the Nürburgring Nordschleife and is one of the finest Porsches to wear the fabled RS badge (Estimate: €250,000 – EUR 300,000). The Collection is a little more comfortable for high-performance motoring but no less appealing. The 2015 Bentley Mulsanne Speed is highly regarded for its superior cruising abilities.

It is a tremendous long-distance GT car, and this stunning Peacock blue example is another within the Collection to boast an incredible list of options and features specified by the owner at the time of ordering.

These include a refrigerated bottle cooler with frosted glass and bespoke crystal champagne flutes, a great in-car entertainment system and a vast array of luxury trim options. This great car is estimated at €160,000 – EUR 200,000.

This Collection of great supercars is rounded up by four great superbikes, each representing the ultimate iteration of their bloodlines. These include a 1999 Ducati 996 SPS/F (Estimate: €20,000 – €30,000 EUR), a 2003 MV Agusta F4 750 Senna (Estimate: €30,000 – €40,000 EUR), a 2005 MV Agusta F4 1000 Tamburini (Estimate: €25,000 – €35,000 EUR), and a 2006 Ducati 999R (Estimate: €25,000 – €35,000 EUR).
