Volvo Car USA reported sales of 9,478 cars in October, up 8.9 per cent compared with the same month last year. The underlying demand for the company’s cars remains strong, especially for its Recharge models (EVs and PHEVs).
The company’s Recharge models represented 26.7 per cent of total October sales, with 49.9 per cent of sales in California. In the U.S., October sales of Recharge models increased by 20.3 per cent compared to last year’s last month. The Volvo Car Americas region saw 11,536 cars sold during the month. Sales of Recharge models accounted for 29.6 per cent of sales across the region.“Demand for our cars remains strong despite inventory challenges and supply constraints,” said Anders Gustafsson, Senior Vice President of Volvo Car Americas and President and CEO of Volvo Car USA.
