Loved-up couples can plan a Valentine’s Day getaway that doesn’t break the bank after experts named Britain’s eight most romantic drives.

Motoring experts at LeaseCar.uk have revealed the top eight routes for couples to enjoy a road trip together and explore some of the most scenic destinations in the UK.

They include roads with breathtaking views, such as the Three Lochs Forest Drive in Scotland and quiet villages in The Cotswolds, where lovers can feel like they’re in the middle of a romantic movie.

While most couples may celebrate the day with a candle-lit meal or a trip to their local cinema, it doesn’t have to cost much more to take a romantic UK road trip together.

A drive across these romantic destinations is the perfect way to switch up the usual plans so couples can enjoy a stroll in the great outdoors with a beautiful sunset view.

1. Bourton-on-the-Water, The Cotswolds

2. Haytor Rocks, Dartmoor

With a car park located nearby on the B3387, Haytor Rocks are a short climb up the nearby hills. 3. Croyde Road, Devon

Snowdonia (Eryri) is the largest national park in Wales and is praised as one of the most scenic routes across the nation. Camping sites are dotted across the park, and it is recommended to visit for a few days to embrace its true beauty.

8. Snake Pass, The Peak District

For countryside lovers, it’s the perfect chance to see incredible landscapes. If you carry on the A57, you can reach the summit can get a picture together outside the sign. Be aware of other road users if you stop to look at the sights, as the countryside roads are full of tight turns and narrow paths.
