Unique ‘Neon Legacy’ Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Created in Partnership With Roger Federer, To Be Sold for Charity at RM Sotheby’s Munich Sale
RM Sotheby’s is delighted to offer an incredible opportunity for someone to acquire a stunning and bespoke Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE inspired by tennis legend Roger Federer. All proceeds will support a charitable tennis court project in London, United Kingdom, where Roger won eight Wimbledon titles and two ATP World Tour Finals.
A proud ambassador since 2008, Roger Federer has been closely working with Mercedes-Benz as a key player in several advertising campaigns and collaborations. This exciting joint initiative will see the GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE created in a bespoke Electric Beam neon-yellow paintwork, paying homage to the yellow felt of tennis balls, and with an interior featuring Roger’s signet.
To be offered at RM Sotheby’s forthcoming Munich sale on 26 November, the winning bidder will also benefit from a fantastic VIP package to the 2023 Laver Cup in Vancouver, Canada, plus a signed tennis racket and a signed photo of Roger with the neon car.
Marcus Görig, a Car Specialist, in Germany, says: “What an honour it is for RM Sotheby’s to partner with Mercedes-AMG and Roger Federer on this project. Not only is this a unique and highly desirable car, but the entire package offered to the winning bidder is stunning. And for all this to benefit a charity close to Roger’s heart makes this a very special addition to our Munich sale.”
Inspired by technologies from Formula 1, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE went on sale in February 2022. The German manufacturer heralded it as the first performance hybrid from Mercedes-AMG.
The four-door coupé is powered by an incredible 4.0-litre V-8 engine supported by a 150 kW electric motor, combining a brilliant 843 PS system output that ensures superior driving performance and outstanding driving dynamics with impressive efficiency at the same time. Never registered for the road, this Mercedes-AMG awaits its first owner and represents the new era of electrified AMG performance.
