Abdul Latif Jameel Technology has announced the launch of two innovative new services through its automotive e-commerce platform Motory.com, one of the largest online platforms specializing in facilitating the purchase, sale and financing of new and used cars in Saudi Arabia.

The launch of the Shop by Motory website and the Motory Mazad app mark significant milestones in the Motory.com platform’s journey, aligning with its future vision to deliver enhanced, high-quality services in the Kingdom’s automotive sector.

The Shop by Motory website offers online car-buying services with the highest levels of privacy and security, providing valuable services that it anticipates will make it one of the leading platforms in Saudi Arabia for a convenient, secure and seamless experience.

The Motor Mazad app is an online auction platform designed to automate car auctions between buyers, including auto dealers and auto showrooms, and car owners, such as banks, financing companies, and leasing companies.

The launch of these services addresses the rapid growth in the technology sector and customers’ increasing reliance on online services in the Kingdom. The platform has seen a sustained increase in the number of visits, with about 18 million in 2021, registering an increase of over 13% compared to 2020.

Despite the recent challenges within the automotive sector and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on global markets, the Saudi market has recovered well, illustrated by the results of Motory.com, which helped its automotive clients achieve sales growth of 22% in H1 2022 via the platform compared to the same period last year.

The platform plays an active and crucial role in enhancing customer communication with dealerships and showrooms, with car purchase orders received by dealerships via the platform exceeding 140,000 in H1 2022.
