Off-Road Capabilities With No Compromise
From the get-go, the Rebel® challenged conventional thinking. And the New 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel Black Special Edition for the launch of the new model year goes even further.
When it comes to capability, the 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel is the truck of choice in the 1500 lineup. Aggressive all-terrain tires and a 1-inch factory lift give the 1500 Rebel® a fierce look, that can be pushed even further with an available and class-exclusive Active-LevelTM Four Corner Air Suspension that provides the Rebel with an extra inch of lift on-demand and different ride heights like Entry/Exit (lowest), Aero for highway efficiency, Normal and Off-Road (highest).
Shock Absorbers
For the shock absorbers, the Rebel comes with newly designed Bilstein shocks feature remote reservoirs to keep the shocks fresh and work with unique rear suspension geometry to keep the 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac® all-terrain tires in traction and take you everywhere from paved streets to rocky trails. For even more off-road performance, Rebel comes standard with new Elocker® electronic locking rear differential and Hill-descent Control.
Sharp tow hooks feature wide bumper openings to ease use, and the underbody protection features skid plates on the transfer case, steering system, oil pan and petrol tank.
Engine
The legendary 5.7-litre HEMI® V8 powers rebel with variable-valve timing (VVT) for greater efficiency and performance. It delivers 395hp at 5,600 rpm, 410 lb.-ft. of torque in a smooth, broad powerband that avoids the hesitation and peakiness of turbocharged engines, and is linked to a smooth 8-speed automatic transmission.
Significantly, the tried and tested 5.7-litre HEMI® V8 doesn’t sound or feel like a V8 until you want it to. With the windows up on the highway, it runs crossover quiet, thanks in part to expanded active noise cancellation and cylinder deactivation. To control the power, 2020 Ram 1500 features the most massive front brake rotors in the segment at 14.9-inches (378 mm).
Design
Design-wise, the Rebel is anything but ordinary. With its unique grille design and powder-coated grille, front and back bumper, the Rebel is ready for the toughest trails. For a meaner look, Rebel comes with a sports performance hood and black rear dual-exhaust tips while the LED headlamps with black bezel, taillamps and fog lamps bring improved visibility to the trail while adding to the bold look of the Rebel®.
The 2020 Rebel Black ads to the mix an all-black look, with a Pearl Coat Diamond Black Crystal paint, black front skid plate 18-inch black-painted wheels and black badging.
Interior
Rugged meets refined in the 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel Black, with an interior loaded with more premium features than you would ever expect in a rugged off-road truck. The interior is elevated to new heights of style, thanks to the black luxury leather trim that envelops the front/rear seats and Rebel branded rubber floor mats.
The Rebel Black comes standard with Dual-pane panoramic sunroof that offers passengers a spectacular window to fresh air, open sky and an exquisite view of the world passing by.
This special edition comes as well with an upgraded sound system with the 9-Speaker Amplified Alpine system with a subwoofer.
But the highlight of the cabin is on the dashboard as the Rebel Black is equipped with the award-winning fourth-generation Uconnect® system and class-exclusive 12-inch (30.5 cm) Touchscreen. It is loaded with user-friendly features like Navigation, Apple CarPlay® support, Android Auto™ integration and a customizable home screen with split-screen capability.
The Rebel Black comes as well with plenty of convenient features such as the new thoroughly dampened tailgate with remote opening, keyless entry and remote start system control, making it easier than ever.
The cabin features interior storage totalling 151.1 litres in its Crew Cab version and a reimagined centre console with 12 different storage configurations that offers never-before-seen customization, while other available features, such as the exclusive lockable RamBox bedside storage, hidden bins and flat-load floor, offer unique solutions for cargo.
The 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel Black Edition is available to order at all Ram showrooms in Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and Oman.
