At the heart of ParOne STEAMathalon was the goal that each team successfully design, create, and operate an AI GolfBot to compete in a custom mini-course intended for the golf tournament.

Dr. Hamid Haqparwar, Managing Director BMW Group Middle East, said: “BMW Group Middle East is a proud supporter of creativity and innovation here in the region and was delighted to be part of the UAE’s first ParOne STEAMathalon in Dubai. Our success here in the Middle East has always been based on long-term thinking and innovative technology. These young minds are the engineers and developers of the future and we are very happy having been part of this incredible event that encouraged and nurtured the creative talents of tomorrow.”

ParOne STEAMathalon celebrated the achievements of the teams in a variety of categories including most creative, best effort in completing the golf course, and sportsmanship. Judges scored the teams on innovation, creativity, sustainability, positivity, the overall performance of their AI GolfBots and how well they embraced and engaged with vital 21st-century skills.

Ayhan Olcer, CEO of AGMC, commented: “ParOne STEAMathalon’s focus on AI development and its many practical uses resulted in the teams creating some fantastically competitive and capable devices. This event helped to raise the bar for what can be achieved when students embrace essential science, technology, engineering, art and math subjects both inside and out of the classroom.”

Speaking on the #ParOne STEAMathalon, Aaditya Tangri, co-founder of STEAMathalon, mentioned that it was a perfect alignment of synergies partnering with BMW Group Middle East and AGMC.

“The BMW is well regarded for engineering excellence and innovative design. In BMW Group Middle East and AGMC, we had the perfect Intelligence Partner for the 2019 ParOne STEAMathalon that served as an example to all participating learners. Having the exciting opportunity to win the prestigious BMW Golfsport trophy as a top prize further motivated learners to bring their A game during competitions,” Tangri said.
