The New Audi RS 5 Coupé Launched in Dubai

The new Audi RS 5 Coupé is the first Audi Sports model in the new RS design idiom. The car’s all-new 2.9 TFSI Biturbo engine produces 450 hp and delivers 600 Nm of torque, and standard Quattro drive distributes the power to all four wheels.

Ali Al Nabooda, General Manager at Audi Al Nabooda, said: “The new Audi RS 5 Coupé is the gran Turismo among the RS models from Audi Sport. The high-performance Coupé combines elegant aesthetics with everyday usability, providing significantly more performance and higher efficiency.”

The RS 5 Coupé sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. Featuring 20-inch wheels and the Audi virtual cockpit as standard, the exterior styling packages in either gloss black, carbon or matt aluminium – provide a wide range of customization options. While the standard paint colours for the RS 5 include modern and sporty combinations, Audi Sport also offers the striking launch colour of Sonoma green metallic as an exclusive paint finish for this new performance coupé.

The RS sports suspension with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), ceramic brakes and dynamic steering with RS-specific tuning gear the driving experience to a performance-tailored experience. Drivers can make their personal driving experience even more individual, active or comfortable using the standard Audi drive select system.

Bathed in black, the interior of the new Audi RS 5 Coupé is extremely upscale and sportily appointed. Details such as RS sports seats with optional quilted diamond stitching in the fine Nappa leather and the flat-bottomed RS multifunction sports steering wheel underscore the character of the high-performance coupe. The statement RS logos on the seats, steering wheel, door sill trims and the selector lever remind the driver of its Audi Sports heritage  ‘Born on the track, built for the road.’

A comprehensive range of infotainment choices is available to satisfy the most demanding passenger. The standard MMI navigation plus MMI touch enables passengers to go online with their mobile devices via the Wi-Fi hotspot option. The Audi smartphone interface uses Apple Car Play and Android Auto to make selected apps available in a separate MMI menu.

Control is easy and intuitive, thanks to natural language voice control, free text search and the multifunction steering wheel. The touchpad in the centre console is used to zoom, scroll and enter characters. Further high-end technologies, such as the head-up display and as many as 30 driver assistance systems, enhance safety, comfort and efficiency. The intelligent interplay between these systems represents another step on the road to piloted driving.
